Mr. Vipond made my least faveriot subject a blast! I always looked forward to his classes and he helped me the best he could. I will never forget paintball or when he got stuck in the city museum. I will also keep his daughters in my thoughts and prayers. He loved you soooo much, I felt like I knew you guys! I think I speak for all of team 8D class of 2000-2001 when I say he will be greatly missed. Mr. Vipond; you're pretty neat stuff!

Brian,so quiet in your intelligence, so quiet and gracious in your life, kind and silent, in your wanting and needing, Brian, hoping you are passing through to a world far greater than the one you've known, passing on to a world of light and goodness, of quiet in the storm. Love you, neighbor, JoJo

Mr. Vipond was one of my most influential teachers; He inspired me to be the best that I could be and because of him I will always love math. I wish I would have gone back to see him to tell him how much he helped me when I was in need or how much him just being there teaching impacted my life. God Bless you Mr. Vipond and may you rest in peace.

Mr. Vipond was one of the best teachers I have ever had. There was never a dull moment in his class. I was honored to work with him when I did OCI my senior year. He was a wonderful teacher and will truly be missed. I will cherish all the fun times I had in Geometry class in the cafeteria. I will keep his family in my prayers

Brian and i have been friends for 30 years. I will carry him in my heart as a brother. Our group of friends had many crazy times and I smile when I think back. My condolences to his family and his two great daughters whom I proudly consider nieces. Much love and fondest wishes.

Mr. Vipond was the best math teacher ever. He always made math class so much fun. I remember how he used to tell us about how his former students would call him for help and I would think that one day I would call him too. I was in the advanced math class so of course we had fewer students and were able to have more fun. He took us to the parking lot to see his old truck. The first time he taught us about SOHCAHTOA he had a student draw an indian on the board and named him chief SOHCAHTOA! When it finally came time to take Calculus my friends and I would've killed to have Mr. Vipond as our teacher. He was a overall great person and I will miss him. My condolences to his family!

It is moving to read about the impact Brian had on his students, friends and family. I worked with Brian at Rax when I was a teenager and have so many great memories of time spent with Brian and our gang of friends. My prayers are with his children and family.

I will never forget the day in math class where Mr. Vipond introduced quadratic equations by taking ax2 + bx + c = 0 and turning it into the Quadratic Formula. Logical idea in theory, but predictably it went way over the heads of us middle schoolers.
It was moments like that, in addition to his patience and laid back style, that made him such an extraordinary teacher. I don't know how he (or any of the teachers on 8D) put up with having classrooms in that cafeteria at Hazelwood, but I'm grateful that I had the chance to be one of his students.
I will always remember him fondly. Best wishes to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing!
Brian and I were good friends back in the day at Rax. I have many fond memories of good times spent with Brian and the rest of the gang. Over the years our path’s had gone different directions, but Brian would generally call around the holidays to catch-up. Our conversation this year will be truly missed.
My deepest sympathies to the entire family. I will keep you in my prayers.

It is wonderful to read what an impact Brian had on the lives of his students. He was always so intelligent, especially in Math, so it is a blessing that he could use this for the well-being of so many "kids". Brian was a huge part of my youth. I am grateful for all that he did for me, and am so sorry that his family lost him in the prime of his life. Brian was a gentle soul! My greatest condolences to the Vipond family.

I didn't really know Brian, even though we are cousins, but my mom has told me all kinds of stories about him. I will be thinking of you all and praying for you (especially the kids).

Wow it saddens my heart to hear that your gone. You were an amazing math teacher and I truely learned to enjoy math because of you. I'm sure anyone who have got to experience how wonderful of a man and teacher you were will say the same. May you rest in peace, and all my love and prayers to the Vipond family and friends.

Mr. Vipond had a gift. A gift that not many teachers have. He was able to make what he taught easy as well as fun and enjoyable. Out of all the teachers I have had, he is one that stands out greatly. Mr. Vipond, thank you for teaching me so much. I always enjoyed coming to your class in JR High. You will be forever missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about Mr. Vipond's passing. He was my teacher years ago. When I heard the terrible news I was devastated. He was so young but when GOD calls us home then it's that time. God bless you who are survived by him. May the Lord give you strength to deal with this situation, while you lament his passing.
